Back in early 2021, I got the chance to help the team at Goodbye Kansas with the preproduction of Avalanche’s Contraband announcement trailer.
In an unconventional gap between concept art and previz I built almost the entire set in realtime 3D, giving directors and supervisors the freedom to freely maneuver through the environment and test different camera angles on the fly.
Before the final cut of the trailer was outlined, we also explored a version in which the camera would fly through an action-packed diorama scene frozen in time. Scroll down for styleframe explorations.
